Important Life Lessons For Internet Marketers

The other day I was browsing through my ever overflowing email inbox, and I came across one of good ‘ol Travis from the Bum Marketing Method (remember, he is one of the one’s who’s list I kept subscribed to – thanks, Travis!! 😉 ) which compelled me to have a quick look (his subject line read just “AWESOME”).

Here is what he passed on to his loyal subscribers, and I enjoyed watching this so much that I had to pass it on to you, too. It is a short 9 minute video, but it is so jam packed with great life lessons that it leaves you feeling like everything is possible.

We, as Internet Marketers especially, get often so much negative feedback from our loved ones around us (especially when we haven’t quite gotten to earning a real living online yet), and we often suffer so many set backs and hurdles along the way that we all need strong stamina and tenacity, and belief in our ultimate goal. It is so easy to lose focus and be discouraged, and at times it takes a lot of strength to keep going and keep faithful of the outcome.

This video will pick you up, and give you that special “shiver” down the spine that will make you keep going and keep at it. Because that’s one of the most important things in Internet Marketing – to keep going, and never give up. Believe and you WILL get there.

And there is so much more in that video, it’s just brilliant.

    The lessons are good for internet marketers as well as for everybody else.

    The way we think and what we believe to be capable of achieving is the determining factor of our success.

    I know it to be true because the few times when I applied it it worked every time.

    The people that laughed at my dreams became suddenly very quiet when they came true.

    I wish I would have applied the principles consistently to everything.

    But there’s never too late and now I’m determined to apply this to my internet marketing efforts and earn money blogging.

    I mean good money.

    What anybody else says, especially if it’s negative is completely irrelevant as long as the determination we have is great.

    Now I’ll tweet the post when my comment appears – is approved, I promise and I hope that it works.

  3. Loved your post and an aawesome video. It is very easy when you keep hearing negative comments about your endeavours to get established in Internet Marketing to start doubting yourself. But I firmly believe that you have to believe in yourself, if you don’t believe in yourself how is anyone else going to believe in you.

    1. Hi Maya, thanks for stopping by! Yes, Will is a great guy and has made some very meaningful movies. Just last night I watched “Seven Pounds” and cried my heart out after! A must-watch movie, too.
      BTW, I posted about putting a button on your site, and for some reason half my sidebars disappeared after doing so. I had to re-build the site from before the post and then post again. Hopefully this time everything works ok!

    I find the opposite to be true for me. A lot of people are envious of the internet marketing lifestyle and how it frees you to travel and do what you love. There are no 9-5 obligations and you can earn an incredible income if you work hard at it.

    I think this quote pretty much sums it up. “Entrepreneurs live for a few years the way most people won’t so they can live the rest of their lives like most people can’t.”

    1. Nathan, I was talking about the negative feedback you get when you haven’t made it yet. It looks like you have cracked the code, so good on you! Yes, once you have reached some success, it’s more likely that people will start to envy you, and you will also have more credibility.

  16. That’s really an important article and lesson for any businessman, let alone internet marketers.

    We really need strong stamina and belief. Keeping ourselves full of energy is very important. Without energy, everything will seem to be so discouraging at the slightest hint of failure.

    I agree that we need to focus, believe and trust in how God leads us in every little thing we do. Failure is a must for you to unleash your potential. That’s how I always keep up with my energy level 🙂

    Just have to give you props. For the last couple weeks I had no initiative or drive. Taking 10 minutes out of my life and watching this video I am glad to say I am motivated and back on track.

  25. Will Smith is really known for his wisdom, knowing that all of his sharing is very inspiring. In our life we must learn to discipline ourselves if we really want to be successful, our success is on our hands and yet we must grab opportunities besides it may come only once on a blue moon.

  26. Didn’t know that there was such a video. You don’t normally get things like this in your email. Most of the time it’s just commercial emails that people send to your email.
    I have a great respect for Will Smith. IN his life he really portrays and speaks like a role model. Unlike the many other celebrities these days like David Beckam and Brad Pitt with not so great influences on the younger generations.

    I am new to internet marketing. The first thing I learned was don’t but everything out there. I was luck to find the Gentle Mentor. That took me to a great skype group.Loved the video! I also learned not to try and figure it out on my own.

    I now am being coached by Mark Terrell. He keeps you moving to get the work finished. But I know it will all be worth it. Mark pushes so hard cause he wants us to succeed! As long as we do as he tells us,, We will make it to the top. I would love if you would visit my blog. Any helpful hints are greatly appreciated.Please let a comment.
