If you have been trying to make money online for a while chances are you have heard of Squidoo.
>>> Grab the FREE SQUIDOO GUIDE from PotPieGirl! <<<
Squidoo is a community website that allows users to create pages (called lenses) for subjects of interest. Lenses are interactive, and can contain all sorts of links, like Flickr photos, ebay Auctions, YouTube videos and – tada! – affiliate links. Squidoo is in the top 200 most visited sites in the world, and in the top 50 most viewed in the United States.
The great thing is, anybody can create Squidoo lenses on certain topics, and many Internet Marketers do this to promote affiliate products, or generate more targeted traffic to any of their other websites.
Creating Squidoo lenses can be very effective to advertise affiliate products and make some sales, or to get more visitors to your website (like I have done with Beach Theme Decorations or Tropical Home Decor to get more visitors to my site selling Beach Theme Home Decor). Best of all, Squidoo is free to use!
But creating your first Squidoo lens can be a bit daunting if you don’t know exactly what to do. It can be quite a learning curve if you are just starting out. I mean, if you do it you want to do it right, right? Wouldn’t it be great if you had a professional Squidoo expert to show you how it’s done?
Guess what – you are in luck!!! Squidoo expert PotPieGirl has created a free 50+ page guide on how to create effective squidoo lenses from scratch. And you can have it right away.
First time you have heard of Squidoo? Want to give it a go to earn some online cash? Or been dabbling around with it for a little while but haven’t really had the success you hoped for?

Hi Petra,
Squidoo is absolutely brilliant.
For those of you who are not already using Squidoo then I suggest you take Petra’s advice and head on over there.
It is certainly a great way of generating traffic to your sites.
Best of all, you can write just about anything you are passionate about. There is a great forum attached to Squidoo ,as well, where you can get your lenses critiqued or blessed by the Squid angels.
I have got into the top 100 with Dark Dairy Doings and it is moving up all the time. Just think of the benefits to getting traffic to your website if you get in the top 10. Amazing.
Good post again, as usual, Petra.
Well done.
Regards,
Gary

I like Squidoo because it is easy to build up authority such as page rank
A lot better than some similar services like Hubpages or Scrib in my opinion.

Hi Petra, I was writing to thank you for the backlinks to my site from yours. However, they all disappeared. As I’m new to this any idea what would have happened? By the way I’m still reading your blogs, old and new and learning a lot. Thanks

Seb, I have no idea what happened. The backlinks should stay there. What exactly do you mean when you say they disappeared? Do you mean the CommentLuv? The only thing that happened might have to do with the Top Commentator widget I have installed. Every month it gets set back to 0 and everybody has the same chances to make it onto my Top Commentator list. When you are on the list (in my sidebar), you are effectively getting a backlink to your site from all of my posts and pages. At the beginning of the month the links in my Top Commentator widget get reset, and all you have to do is comment again and make sure you have enough comments to stay in my widget.
Otherwise, all the comments you have left will still have their backlinks through CommentLuv and KeywordLuv, but it will only be from that particular post.
I hope I have explained it somewhat clearly
