I have been tagged!!! A valued member in Alex Jeffreys forum – The Gazzman! – has started a little challenge and people are getting tagged all over the place! We are supposed to write down 25 things about ourselves that others might want to know (or not)! So I got the big T A G a few days ago from Gene Ilten, and I have surprised myself now by actually finishing it off in a few days – not weeks!
So, I hope you are sitting down:
- I am the artsy one in the Weiss family. One day my whole house will be covered in my own paintings! – If I ever have time to paint and draw again, that is, keeping you all entertained is taking up so much time!
- Apparently I tend to often interrupt people when they are talking because I get so much into the conversation and want to get my word in before I forget what I wanted to say!
- I was always really, really bad at writing essays – that’s probably why it takes me a long time to get blog posts together!
- I am German, studied German administration and got a diploma, just to travel to Australia and end up “for good” there! The Australians don’t seem too interested in what I know about German administration…
- I have climbed Ayers Rock in Central Australia and dived with sharks at the Great Barrier Reef (!?!? did I really do this?? How old was I??)
- Since I had the kids (7 and 6 now) I have become the greatest CHICKEN on earth – I see danger in everything, hence me questioning No.5.
- But I have still started to do waterskiing early this year and really enjoy it!
When the season starts again soon I will have to learn how to drive the boat (shiver….) I don’t have a photo of me on skis, just of me and mini-me before her kneeboarding… - I absolutely love my two Jack Russells Boomer and Dash, but I am sometimes to lazy to take them for their walk (shame on me!)
- I don’t like the telephone. Never have. It took me ages to get a mobile phone.
- I am a “Yes”- Sayer. I can’t say no. I want to please everybody. I HATE my weak self!
- I am obsessed about my weight. I eat too much. I love food. I LOVE FOOD. Constantly on a diet or other….
- I am very good at making resolutions about what I am going to do; but I really SUCK at sticking with it!
- I am extremely compassionate. Sometimes too much, because hearing about certain events can mess me up for quite a while…
- My 2 dream holidays: Horseback riding in the Rocky Mountains, Painting course in Tuscany.
- Swimming is one of my favorite sports. I am a water rat.
- I’ve served ice-cream in our own store in the center of Australia for 7 years, and hated every minute of it. Loved the “all-you-can-eat-for-free” though.
- Been together with my partner for nearly 15 years…
- Never in my whole life has anybody asked me “will you marry me?” – …They must all have known that I would say no!!
- I consider myself a single mum as my partner is constantly away on business.
- I am currently doing Certificate IV in Bookkeeping – I want to be able to do someting for the unlikely case that my Internet Marketing doesn’t take off! (don’t put all your eggs in one basket, or so the saying goes?)
- My favorite book right now is Enough: Breaking Free from the World of More
fantastic read!
- One of my favorite things to do is to go for a walk along the beach here with my kids and dogs and watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean…. (are you jealous??)
- I love to do paperwork and office work. I know – I am a rare breed!
And I have always been absolutely pedantic about being organized and neat. I should have married an accountant! – If I ever would have been asked, that is… - I cannot lie. I am too honest. That’s probably a good thing!
- I am a happy person who enjoys life and I am on a quest to better myself by being more mindful, doing 10 minutes of meditation every day (so far I still suck at it, I have to learn), by giving more and being more content.
- I am always up for a challenge (hint hint!). What I consider my biggest challenge right now is to show all my friends and family that you can actually make lots of money with Internet Marketing!!!
Here is what I have added after completing the list (I will keep adding here as I see fit, on an ongoing basis!)
- I yearn to see more of the world. I have been to lots of countries in Europe while I was still living in Germany, and have also been to Sri Lanka, Thailand and Bali, and of course now I am living in Australia, but I would love to see North and South America, and Africa! Russia, China, Japan….
- I have been snow skiing in Zermatt in Switzerland (at the Matterhorn)
- I have cycled around Bali by myself – now THAT was cool!
Puh, that’s done! I hope I haven’t scared you off now, and you will keep enjoying reading my blog! Thanks, Gene, for tagging me to take part in the challenge, as you can see I have risen to the task, now I will go off and tag my 5 people, too!!! I will be listing the other “contestants” who get the T A G from me right here as they complete their tasks. Watch this space!
Here are the Internet Marketers who were fortunate enough to get tagged by me
:
- Rob Willis – 25 things you may not know about me.
- Vance Sova – What are Alex Jeffreys students up to?
- Veronica Purdey – Tagged by Petra for 25 random things

Petra
Great job on the 25. Nice to know a little more about you and where you come from and have been. Very Jealous of you for # 5. I scuba dive, and living off the coast of California it is quite fun. Lucky enough to have dove in Hawaii and Mexico and yes plenty of sharks but I really want to dive off the Great Barrier Reef. I will one day when this IM stuff works.
# 6 I understand, but don’t try to protect them from everything.
The balance of your 25 is wonderful read and very cool.
Glad you “PICKED UP THE GAUNTLET”

Hi Petra,
What a nice post. I’m sure you wouldn’t have written it if you hadn’t been tagged.
I’m surprised at how many things you like doing are close to or the same ones I like to do, like swimming. I’d like to paint if I had the talent like my dad. But I don’t. So instead when I have time I like taking pictures.
I’m even more surprised that you love something that I really don’t enjoy that much – paperwork and office work. I actually know of nobody who really enjoys paperwork and only a few people that don’t mind doing it.
I think that with your talents and being so well organized you’ll be a great success in internet marketing in not too distant future and your accounting skills will just be a hobby.
Vance.

@Vance, it’s great to know that there are others in Alex’s program that I can relate to! Well, it’s kind of funny, I love Maths and am pretty good at it, and at the same time I love painting and doing paperwork. All things that don’t go really well together….:) I will try and be a great success in internet marketing for sure, I will give it my best shot! I will see you at the top!

Hi Petra,
I, too, was tagged by Gene but haven’t had a chance to list my 25 things. I have to say that #2 was my favorite, “Apparently I tend to often interrupt people when they are talking because I get so much into the conversation and want to get my word in before I forget what I wanted to say!” My fiance and I do this to each other all the time and it drives each of us nuts

@Paul, well, I think that’s what happens to my partners in conversation, too. The bad thing is that I was not aware of it until somebody said it to me (quite angrily) about a year ago, and now I sit here wondering how many people have found me “invasive” whilst I was thinking I am a great person to talk to!

#4 I am German too. Well, at least part. My father’s family came from the Hannover area of Germany.
#9 I hate the phone too. It is like pulling teeth to get me to call anyone. For me it come from my shy nature.
#11 I wish I obsessed with my weight
#16 If I ever make it to Australia, I will stop for ice cream, but you will be a big success by then and not doing it anymore.
Thanks for responding to my tag.

Hi Petra,
Lovely post.
There’s nothing wrong with saying Yes.
Have you seen the film ‘The Yes Man’ starring Jim Carey.
It’s a true storey about a guy that always said no to opportunities and then one day decided to say yes to everything.
It changed his life and lead to so many opportunities.
Speak soon,

Great list, Petra. I can relate with you #12, #10 and #11. One of my regular resolutions is to make working out and exercise a part of my life, it usually lasts a few weeks. Once I miss a few days I can’t ever seem to get back into the routine.
I need to learn to say no. Especially at work when I have so many things that I can barely keep my head above water … then I go and say “Yes, I can do that” … LOL
I’m totally opposite with the water skiing. It freaks me out. The one time I tried I fell and got a really painful swimsuit wedgie. Never tried it again. But I love snow skiing.

You are awesome Petra, really. Be proud of all you are doing. I was (am) a single mom my whole son’s life, ok, since he was four. I had a job where I had to travel so getting childcare was difficult. It is REALLY tough doing it all alone as people don’t realize how isolated you are, even though you are out doing everything. That IS the point, you are out doing EVERYTHING and sometimes it is nice to have a partner there to bounce ideas and share responsabilities. SO don’t be afraid to ask for help from others around you and build up that support group and take some time for you…away from kids and dogs, and sharks.
We have many simularities, soul sister. I’m proud of you!

I am a student of Alex Jeffreys I have been looking around at fellow students blogs and came across yours. Definitely one of the best. I felt I had to leave a comment because your blog is simply, so inspirational and informative, It has given me hope and ideas to better mine.
It is so clean and fresh looking. I am always worried I overdo it myself, to much content you know. Your blog is just right. I would appreciate if you would pass comment on mine just to confirm I haven’t overdone it. On my blog I am doing a theme on successful internet marketers. Really like to know what you think as I am pretty new to all this layout stuff. I hope one day that I can write about your internet success. Keep up the good work

I love lists like this but can’t bring myself to make one about myself except it’s on people’s blogs. Maybe I’ll try it out on my blog someday.
Number 9: I’m no a huge phone of the telephone either except in terms of emergency of juicy gossip. (Yep! That’s right. I said it. I’m a guy that loves gossip BUT not the maliciously kind)
Number 11: LMAO. I just can’t do without carbs. They get me through every mild depression and hunger pangs I might encounter along the way. I’ve come to notice that I diet better when I’m low on funds but once the money starts flowing, I just can’t resist buying every type of food that catches my attention.
I’m looking forward to some diet pills and strict diet under my mum’s supervision come October when I’m home again with my family.
It’s so bad that I’ve been unlucky in finding Nivea’s GoodBye Cellulite here in Nigeria. That stuff did some remarkable wonders on my cellulite and stretch marks.
Number 17 & 18: 15 years in a relationship? I envy you and so many others. My relationships never get past the 2 months mark and from then onwards it’s “Friends with benefits” till I move to another state or house. You don’t need a marriage certificate to be happy. Most folks here in Nigeria pester that children to get married all for one selfish reason: THEY WANT GRANDKIDS BEFORE THEY DIE.
Number 26: You’ve said it all.

Love your list, be careful of number 10 however.
A great person once said to me that we are not defined by what we say yes to in life but rather what we say no to.
Take care, and I like waterskiing too.

@Petra: Yes I’ve got the stretch marks and cellulite to show for my love of food and crash diets. LOL. But hey it’s not in the league of hideous cellulites and stretchmarks. It’s quite amazing that fat tends to concentrate around my lower abs, bum and thighs. As though I were a chick. LMAO. The only good thing about is it that the big bum helps fill out my trousers nicely and some folks go gaga looking at it especially chicks who would die to have a little bit of what I’ve got. LOL.
I saw Tyra Banks promoting Nivea Goodbye Cellulite and that was why I bought it and it didn’t disappoint. It’s the best anticellulite gel, I’ve bought in the entire existence of my fat bum. It cost around $20 for a bottle of 200ml then. I just hope the price has dropped a little but the quality remains the same.

“11. I am obsessed about my weight. I eat too much. I love food. I LOVE FOOD. Constantly on a diet or other….”
Petra, I am obsessed with my weight too! I rather should say I WAS obsessed with my weight for a long time. But not any more.
I am losing weight since I put my hands on this book: “Eat to Live” by Dr Joel Fuhrman, M.D. I have not finished reading the book yet and I have already lost at least 10 pounds during the last month. I don’t even care to measure. I know I will loose everything I don’t need because I am following simple rules described in the book and I know for trying them how powerful they are.
Anyway here’s a little .pdf fact sheet about the book:
