Make Money With Squidoo

I just updated my squidoo lens on Beach Theme Decorations, it was long overdue, I actually found a few links that were not working any more, shame on me! And I happend to stumble across this fantastic lens about making money with Squidoo.

Now, I am by far no expert on Squidoo, but what I have learned so far indicates that building optimized lenses on Squidoo can really earn you some money, and this lens I came across proves it. It is ranked #1 overall at the moment, and that’s something!!! Janet, the author, is a 38 year old mother of 3 and has made Squidoo a success. I urge you to head over there and have a read of her story, and learn from her tips and information about Squidoo. She also lets you see her earnings, which I find very nice .

I only have a few lenses on Squidoo to date, but the more I progress in my IM journey, the more often Squidoo is popping into my head as a tool to create extra income and traffic to my other sites. I have also invested in One Week Marketing with PotPieGirl, and Squidoo is a big part of it’s money making plan.

After making many mistakes in my Internet Marketing journey I have to say that one of the biggest ones was not to stick to one thing at a time and concentrate on it. I used to hop from one big thing to the next, never really giving anything a fair go. So I wasn’t very successful for a very long time.

Making good money with Squidoo is certainly possible (as Janet’s earnings on her lens will prove), but you have to make the decision to actually DO it, and stick with it. Get into creating lenses, its fun! And if you persist, success will come. Take Janet’s advice to heart. Learn from her example. And if you feel a bit lost, grab a great guide on marketing with Squidoo – just don’t do the same as I did; succumb to information overload and essentially not putting the pieces of the puzzle together.

Squidoo is a community website that allows users to create pages (called lenses) for subjects of interest. Lenses are interactive, and can contain all sorts of links, like Flickr photos, ebay Auctions, YouTube videos and – tada! – affiliate links. Squidoo is in the top 200 most visited sites in the world, and in the top 50 most viewed in the United States.

The great thing is, anybody can create Squidoo lenses on certain topics, and many Internet Marketers do this to promote affiliate products, or generate more targeted traffic to any of their other websites.

Creating Squidoo lenses can be very effective to advertise affiliate products and make some sales, or to get more visitors to your website (like I have done with Beach Theme Decorations or Tropical Home Decor to get more visitors to my site selling Beach Theme Home Decor). Best of all, Squidoo is free to use!

But creating  your first Squidoo lens can be a bit daunting if you don’t know exactly what to do. It can be quite a learning curve if you are just starting out.
