Today I wanted to let you know about the best password manager I have come across online. I only found it a few weeks ago, and I love it already.

When you get into internet or affiliate marketing, you will soon notice that you will very likely start signing up for many, many sites and services. Be it Affiliate programs, forums, social networking sites, social bookmarking sites, article sites, squidoo, youtube  – you name it, you will sign up for it and need a user name and password.

Many people start out with writing their user names and passwords on pieces of paper (like me), or start writing up a notepad on the computer and just create one long (and usually disorderly) list of secret names and numbers. It can be hard to find what you need on that sometimes!

What an Internet Marketer really needs is a great password manager. One that remembers every single user name and password for you, no sweat. And Last Pass is exactly that (and no, this is not an affiliate link! )

Last Pass is literally the last password you will ever need! You will get one master password, and the program will remember all of  your user names and passwords for you, super easy. If you have a look at their home page, there are plenty of testimonials on there from enthusiastic users, and also some really good reviews from sites like PCMag.com, ZDNet Microsoft Report and PC World.

Now, I am not good at explaining any technical things or how exactly it works, but it does, and it’s brilliant! Oh – and did I mention that it’s free, too? I would suggest for you to just head over to their website, have a bit of a snoop around, and check it out!

Seriously, as Internet Marketer this is something you really need, and Last Pass is one of the best password managers you can get!

Your WordPress Video Tutorials

I am very excited today because I have just come across something that quite blew me away, it is so fantastic! It is called WordPress Classroom 2.o. I absolutely wanted to see what it is all about, because I love WordPress and building blogs and websites with it, I think it’s the coolest blogging (and website) platform out there. So I signed up and got hooked!

I remember what a hard time I had when I wanted to learn the “How to” of WordPress, and all the associated options with it. There is a lot to learn, and it is just so much easier if you have a good guide that shows you how to do it. And that’s exactly what WordPress Classroom 2.o does. A pretty well known guy (in the Internet Marketing world, anyway named Matthew Wolfe created it, and the best part is it is all VIDEOS!!! – I personally learn a lot better if I can follow a video rather than just writing! His WordPress Classroom 2.o is packed with clever videos doing the “show all” and “tell all” of WordPress. You will really be a pro after going through all his stuff!

Matthew is just such a nice guy, because he created these really cool instructional videos that teach you how to set up your own blogging business and now he is giving them away for free!! There are something like 15 videos that walk you through the whole thing step by step.

I only had to look at 2 of his free videos and already learned something really cool I had no idea about – it’s about hiding affiliate links (if you click on that, you will get to my “old” post about hiding affiliate links; that’s the hard way of doing it). Matthew has shown me something so simple in his tutorials, it’s crazy. No more stuffing around with .php files and FTP! — I won’t tell you what it is, that would somewhat spoil it for you .

If you have followed me for a while, you should know that I never recommend anything if I am not convinced it’s really good. After all, I have been burnt so many times, and I don’t want anybody else to go through what I did.

So, trust me,  if you really are serious about making money with WordPress blogs and websites, then head over to WordPress Classroom 2.0 and grab the free videos before Matthew decides to pull them down!

I wonder why? Building email lists and marketing to the subscribers is one of the most effective ways of earning money online (the money is in the list, remember!), and nobody wants some free info on it? How strange!

(Here I have to throw in that you might think – well, Petra has never talked about list building on her blog, what would she know??? – Well, whilst I am right now only at the very beginning of  my list building efforts after joining Alex Jeffrey’s Coaching, there is one message out there in the IM world that rings loud and clear, and you will be hearing it over and over again, and that is to build a list because the money is in the list. And those people are right. Whilst you can make a decent amount from other affiliate marketing, if you have a closer look you will see that literally all of the really successful Internet Marketers owe their success to having huge email lists which they market to.)

Alex Jeffreys, one of these aforementioned “List Building Gurus”, is giving away some really great information in his report “Listbuilding with Alex”, how come nobody seems interested? Now I can only think of a few things:

1. Either that nearly everybody who visits my blog has got a copy of the book already
2. People who visit my blog are Listbuilding experts themselves (….? Yeah right!)
3. You are all scared to leave your email address for fear to get swamped with emails after.

Well, let me assure you on No.3 that I haven’t even got any follow up emails set up yet, as – if I am completely honest – this is one of my personal “FEAR FACTORS” in listbuilding that seems to hold me back from progressing in this field – I am scared of having to send out emails to my list on an ongoing basis. Don’t worry, I will tackle it in my own time (like everything else), but for the time being you could just grab the book without being hassled by me for a while!!!

So I would really be interested to hear from you why you don’t seem to think it worth getting a free ebook from a great Internet Marketer. Seriously,  please leave me a comment below as to why you don’t go for free information when you can get it. Might it be that you are sick of the OTO’s (One Time Offers) that appear so often after you sign up for the free stuff? That you don’t trust yourself not to spend money on it? Or is it something else?

Domain Coupon Codes

Ahhh, yes! I have just come across something I wanted to share here with you: Domain Coupon Codes.

This might not be anything new for some of you, but I am thrilled to have come across it after 1 1/2 years online, and I hope I can help some of you to save at least a tiny bit of money. I mean, every bit helps, right?

As I told you in my last post, I signed up with Alex Jeffreys Coaching Program, and right now I am slowly working my way through the modules. In one of the modules we had to register a domain name, and Alex gives the hint to look for promotional codes for the domain registrar you are using.

There are many domain registrars on the net, and I think if you have found one you like and that works well, why not stick with it. My preferred Domain Registrar is the World’s Largest Registrar – GoDaddy.com. For the past year and a half, I always paid full price when registering a new domain (and I did register a few, even if I didn’t use all of them!).

After Alex’s lat coaching module I thought, why not simply google “Godaddy Domain Coupon Codes” (actually, I googled “Godaddy July Promo Code”) and see whether anything comes up? – Guess what! I found a great site that had all sorts of current Promo Codes for GoDaddy. I simply entered one of the domain coupon codes during checkout when asked for it, and VOILA! I saved $3!!!  Now, as said, it might not be a fortune, but if a “normal” domain costs $9.99, then I think this is quite a substantial saving.

So what I wanted to suggest is that next time you want to register a domain name, just google “Domain Coupon Codes” or similar for your domain registrar, and see whether anything comes up. It doesn’t cost anything, and its quick, and it can save you money. So it gets a thumbs up from me!

Squidoo

If you have been trying to make money online for a while chances are you have heard of Squidoo.

Squidoo is a community website that allows users to create pages (called lenses) for subjects of interest. Lenses are interactive, and can contain all sorts of links, like Flickr photos, ebay Auctions, YouTube videos and – tada! – affiliate links. Squidoo is in the top 200 most visited sites in the world, and in the top 50 most viewed in the United States.

The great thing is, anybody can create Squidoo lenses on certain topics, and many Internet Marketers do this to promote affiliate products, or generate more targeted traffic to any of their other websites.

Creating Squidoo lenses can be very effective to advertise affiliate products and make some sales, or to get more visitors to your website (like I have done with Beach Theme Decorations or Tropical Home Decor to get more visitors to my site selling Beach Theme Home Decor). Best of all, Squidoo is free to use!

But creating  your first Squidoo lens can be a bit daunting if you don’t know exactly what to do. It can be quite a learning curve if you are just starting out. I mean, if you do it you want to do it right, right? Wouldn’t it be great if you had a professional Squidoo expert to show you how it’s done?

Recently I had an email in my inbox from a fellow Internet Marketer, Richard Legg, about a pretty new and exciting Clickbank tool called “Hop Ad Builder”.

You can access Hop Ad Builder through your ClickBank account (Account Settings/HopAd Builder), and with it you can actually create ads for ClickBank products to display on your Web site or blog. These Ads look a bit like Google Adsense ads, but instead of just getting a few cents per click, if somebody buys something through your link you will be getting the full ClickBank affiliate commission, which is up to 75% of the sale ($20, $30, $40… per sale!). I think that’s pretty neat, don’t you?

Now, that’s not all, though. Because Hop Ad Builder is still just a little bit technical, and you will have to insert a whole bunch of code into your website or blog, Richard Legg and a couple of  his friends have developed a WordPress Plugin to make the whole process easier and more flexible - the WP HopAd WordPress Plugin! And you can get it for FREE!!!!

With this plugin you can quickly and easily create and edit ClickBank ads through your WordPress admin. You simply have to install the plugin like any other plugin (download, unzip, upload to your wp-plugins folder), then activate it through your wp-admin and start creating your first ad! And you know how the Google Adsense ads always say “Ads by Google”? Well, with the WP HopAd WordPress Plugin you can actually decide what you want to name your ads, too! What works very well is, for example, to have “Recommended Downloads” or something like that above your ads. That way, they look like genuine recommendations! You can change background color, text color, font etc, so the whole thing is really flexible.

It is also very easy to use, Richard and his friends have put up a couple of videos explaining it, so really, there is nothing to lose! You should go and grab this nifty plugin as soon as you can! One more reason for me to be really excited:  I have put my all into this eBook and worked very, very hard at it. I am soooooo glad I made it through to get it finished and onto the Clickbank Marketplace! I had to literally learn all the technical aspects of writing a book with Open Office, and how to put in all the screen shots (there are plenty of  it!), how to make a clickable Table of Contents (to really work out how to do this took me a few WEEKS!), how to insert footers etc…..

I think Affiliate Marketing S.O.S.  turned out fantastic in the end,  because I designed it to be understood by anyone entering the game of Affiliate Marketing, or wanting to step it up to the next level. Because I kept on adding things, changing things, until it was the best it could be (in my humble eyes, anyway! )

When I wrote the book I just thought about all the eBooks I have bought in the past and how I always expected them to be easily understood and doable even by ME, but literally every time I had to find out that there were parts that I just didn’t know yet, so I got stuck time and time again and could not go through with what I was supposedly being taught.

As a result, what you will find in my book are the steps I would have liked to see when I was learning. No technical mumbo jumbo talk, abbreviations and all that kind of stuff. Everything laid out in laymans terms, with plenty of graphics to make it even easier to follow.

I guess what I want to say now is – if you are new to Affiliate Marketing, or you are struggling to make things work, or you are confused and without real direction, then Affiliate Marketing S.O.S. can help you. I can help you.
